Born 1984, active as a musician, songwriter, and music producer since 2004 (2006-2012 as Paper Bird, since 2012 as Squalloscope). 7 album- and EP releases (mostly on Seayou Records), as well as music for a couple of short films. Self-taught one-woman-show, including artwork- and video production. Graduated from the academy of fine arts Vienna in 2014 with a Mag.a.art (M.A.) in fine arts and focuses on multimedia installation, text, cartoons, and drawing. Artist Residencies in the U.S. (Elsewhere Museum in Greensboro, NC, Paul Artspace in St.Louis, MO, Red Bull Music Academy in New York), Art Award of the City of Villach, gets fan mail from teenagers and an approving nod from her father.
Active online with blogs and social media for the last 20 years. Has been part of panel discussions about music, DIY culture and feminism in pop music. Occasionally works as an illustrator for other people's books, posters, and music artwork. Publishes small-batch zines as Camp Frienemy. Thinks boxes are nonsense.
