I love facilitating spaces for person-to-person exchange, where people can learn from and with one another – because these are incredibly important in the age of AI, especially for solo entrepreneurs and freelancers.
I grew up in Cologne, then went to study in Marburg and eventually moved to Munich. I stayed true to the letter “M” and moved to Mallorca 11 years ago. There, I run a cozy coworking space together with my husband (and our cat, Mando) and work online as a consultant.
With a background as a biology graduate with a minor in computer science (graduated in 1990), I pursued various paths one after another. I’ve worked as a journalist, PR specialist, chief editor of client magazines, technical writer, PR manager, head of research & strategy, social media consultant, and lecturer.
My mantra: Never stop learning – better together!
That’s why, ever since I went online (I started in 1988), I’ve been guiding others into the digital realm and always keeping an eye out for new developments. Most recently, virtual communities and generative AI.
This career path—which might seem chaotic to headhunters—benefits my clients, as I can empathize well with their diverse professional situations. Or view them from different perspectives.
My mission: to make digital technology and AI understandable so that women, in particular, can actively shape the future. To this end, I have written two books in the form of novels that take readers on a learning journey with the main characters, “Hanna” and “Fiona,” through the lens of “participant observation.”
