Private and commercial use of cargo bikes, bike logistics, self-organisation within teams, role-based working, flat hierarchies, shared leadership

Biography:

As Managing Director of a company with 13 employees, I am committed to flat hierarchies, shared responsibility, and participatory decision-making. Role-based and self-organized ways of working form the foundation of our collaboration.

For more than ten years, I have worked in the field of sustainable mobility and logistics. I began my career in Medellín, Colombia, where I supported cycling advocacy through an NGO. I later worked in mobility research in Berlin and was part of the advisory team for Germany’s National Cycling Plan 3.0.

Since 2021, my focus has been on cargo bikes as a practical and sustainable alternative to cars and vans. The growing body of data on both private and commercial cargo bike use provides valuable insights into their potential to transform urban mobility and logistics.
