Janina Isabell Otto is a biochemist and freelance science journalist. She works for ARD’s science desk Quarks and creates content for online formats, podcasts, and social media. With her clear and humorous style, she makes complex topics about the human body accessible to a broad audience—on stage, in videos, or on the radio.
As an experienced science slammer, she has been captivating audiences nationally and internationally since 2015 (including the PopUp Tour in Mexico) and has received multiple awards for her work from professional societies, among them the LifeScienceXplained Award and recognition at the Fast Forward Science competition.
