Trained biochemist and computer scientists (1996-2006); Dr. rer. nat. in Computer Science (2007, University of Tuebingen). Postdoc at the ELTE University Budapest, Hungary (2008-09). Junior research group leader at the interdisciplinary center for scientific computing at the University Heidelberg (2009-12). Professor for theoretical computer science, focusing on "Graph theory and complex network analysis" at the TU Kaiserslautern (since 2012). Elected as junior fellow of the German computer science society (GI) in 2013 because of her design of a unique field of study in Germany called "Socioinformatics", which elaborates on the interdependency between IT and society. Vice speaker of the so-called "Potential Area": "Cognitive Science" at the TU Kaiserslautern.
