Bio:

I’m Timea and my friends call me Imy. I am a Technical Consultant at Semantic Web Company in Vienna focused on finding Data Management solutions through creating Thesauri and Taxonomies based on Web standards. At the same time I develop in-house demo Semantic Web applications and am part of the Big Data Europe, a project funded by the EU Horizon 2020 research and innovation program.

I am also very involved in the local Viennese community being the initiator of the Women Techmakers Vienna event and movement. Occasionally I hold talks about technical topics but also about unconscious bias and women in tech.

Examples of previous talks / appearances:

Developing for the Semantic Web

I had the opportunity to hold a presentation about what I have been doing lately: a Web Application to show off the power of SPARQL. I turned my experience into an introduction: “Developing for the Semantic Web”.

Introduction to Semantic Web

I was invited in March 2015 at the Women Techmakers Istanbul event where I got to hold an introduction about Semantic Web.

Introduction to Sentiment Analysis

This was one of my first public speaking recorded talks where I introduce Sentiment Analysis at the first Women Techmakers event back in 2014.
